From September 7th to 18th, we successfully conducted a parabolic flight campaign with new COMPACT hardware. The campaign was carried out in Bordeaux (France) by the company Novespace, financed by the German Space Agency (DLR).

The new plasma chamber with improved electrode motion system, and parts of the COMPACT gas- and vacuum system (flow controller, pressure regulation valve) were deployed for the first time. Further, two new illumination lasers for the 2D and 3D optical particle diagnostics were tested, as well as parts of the 2D diagnostic system (overview camera with a shifted lens).
